“the studio” is a full service communication and graphic design studio. Specializing in identity (logo, letterhead, brochure, and announcement) design. “the studio” creates personal work for you, not prepackaged solutions. Clients have included law firms and professional management and representation, museums, theaters, artists and filmmakers.

Part of the mission of the studio is education - teaching, writing on education issues, and advocacy. In the past, Mari has worked with people traditionally cut out of the higher art and design education. Through private, state and national grants and organizations she has worked with recent immigrant populations from around the world (notably South America and Southeast Asia), the disabled, and at-risk youth in neighborhoods of Los Angeles and Chicago. Mari is an active member of A.I.G.A, College Art Association and Siggraph.
